Value Double Glazing Melbourne

Double Glazed Sliding Doors Melbourne

Large glass panels that slide along a track, so the door opens without swinging into the room or out onto the deck.

We supply them double glazed in four aluminium series. One of them, the ML102-TB, has a thermal break, an insulating strip through the frame.

What Is A Double Glazed Sliding Door?

A double glazed sliding door has large glass panels that slide along a track in an aluminium frame. Each panel has two panes and a sealed gap between them. We supply them in ML86 residential, ML102 commercial, the thermally broken ML102-TB, and the ML150 narrowline, which has a slim frame around the glass. We measure and install sliding doors across Melbourne's south and east, and on the Mornington Peninsula.

Quick Facts

  • We supply them in four series: ML86, ML102, ML102-TB and ML150.
  • The ML102-TB has an insulating thermal break in the frame.

Why Choose Us For Sliding Doors In Melbourne

  • We Measure Every Window

We come out and measure every window and door on the job ourselves. You don't need to measure anything to get a ballpark.

  • Our Own Team Installs Them

Our install team fits your windows and doors, usually 8 to 10 weeks after you sign off the drawings. We confirm the timing on your quote.

  • A Ballpark From Your Photos

Send your window and door count, your suburb and a few photos. We work out a rough price on the size of your windows in square metres.

  • Supplied To AS 2047 And AS 1288

Our windows are supplied to AS 2047 and AS 1288, and certification is available on request.

Drag the slider or press the button. The top drawing is the door from inside your room, and the one under it is the same door from above.

  1. 01

    It Runs On A Track

The sliding panel moves along a track in the aluminium frame.

  2. 02

One Panel Moves Past The Other

It slides sideways past the panel next to it, so part of the opening always stays glass.

  3. 03

    Nothing Swings

The door opens without swinging into the room or out onto the deck.

Glass For A Big Door

  • Your Choice Of Glass

You choose the glass. Low-E glass has a thin coating that reflects heat, and argon filled glass has a heavy gas sealed in the gap between the panes. Laminated glass holds together if it breaks, acoustic glass is laminated with a layer that damps sound, and tinted glass cuts glare.

  • Safety Glass Where It's Needed

AS 1288, the Australian Standard for glass in buildings, sets where safety glass must go, and doors are one of those places. Laminated glass is one kind. Our guide to glass options for double glazing explains the rest.

Sliding Or Bifold?

Both open your room up to the deck or yard. The difference is how much of the opening clears, and whether the frame can have a thermal break.
